State v. Gauster
No lawful impound, no lawful inventory. A suspended license and no proof of insurance did not justify a tow when the driver was only being cited, the car sat safely on a rural shoulder, and he asked to arrange his own pickup or tow. The impound was unreasonable, and everything the inventory found was suppressed.

State v. Smith

State v. Diede
