Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed October 10, 2026

MNS Industries, LLC wants StreetSense to be usable by everyone. That includes people who use screen readers, screen magnifiers, larger text, voice control, switch access or a keyboard instead of a mouse or touch screen. This statement covers the streetsenseapp.com website and the StreetSense apps for iPhone and iPad (iOS) and Android.

Our standard

Our goal is for the website and both apps to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We use it as our standard for the website and, as far as it applies to mobile apps, for the apps.

Where things stand

Website. On October 9, 2026 we retested the website after its redesign. We checked the main pages, a sample of state pages, blog articles, and the support and policy pages with the axe-core accessibility engine at desktop and phone widths, and fixed every issue it reported. We also checked by hand: moving through the site with a keyboard alone, a visible focus outline, a “Skip to content” link, text enlarged to 200% and narrow screens, heading order, link text, image descriptions and color contrast.

Apps. We are actively improving the accessibility of the iOS and Android apps. The versions in the App Store and Google Play today do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Our next updates (iOS version 4.1.54 and Android version 1.2.79, in testing now) add:

  • labels for buttons and controls, and announcements of whether an option is selected or turned on, for VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android);
  • headings, so screen reader users can move through a screen by section;
  • text that scales up to 200%, with screens that reflow instead of cutting text off;
  • higher contrast for text, buttons and form fields;
  • larger touch targets, a visible keyboard focus indicator, and support for Reduce Motion;
  • spoken announcements for errors, scan results and purchase outcomes, and labeled form fields.

We will update this statement when these versions are available in the App Store and Google Play.

Known limitations, including after these updates:

  • The iOS app is dark mode only.
  • Some legal source documents open as PDF files that are not tagged for screen readers. If you need one in an accessible format, email us and we will provide it.

Other known limitations

  • The cookie-consent banner on the website comes from a third-party plugin, and we do not control all of its markup.
  • Links to the App Store, Google Play, social media and government legal sources lead to sites we do not control.
  • Automated testing does not catch every barrier, so we keep reviewing the website and apps, and retest when we release changes.

Ask for an accessible alternative or report a barrier

If something on the website or in the app is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email nick@mnsindustriesllc.com. Please include:

  • the page address, or the app screen and whether you use iOS or Android;
  • what you were trying to do and what got in the way;
  • any assistive technology you use (for example, VoiceOver, TalkBack or screen magnification).

We aim to respond within five business days. If we can’t fix the barrier right away, we will work with you to get you the information or feature another way.
